About the Company:
Launched in early 2008, we are the first wireless second number service that is device and carrier agnostic allowing the leverage of all cellular assets available to a user to be considered. SecondVoice is a privately held company headquartered in Laguna Hills, California.
Management Team:
SecondVoice’s success stems from our management teams multidisciplinary background, bringing 75+ years of experience and leadership spanning the wireless and telecommunications markets, computer services, technology and enterprise software companies to our endeavor.
Mr. Drake is an industry veteran with over 25 years of experience in the technology arena, predominately focused on startup software companies. Most recently, he was the EVP of Corporate Development and Strategy at SOA Software, the leader in SOA Governance solutions. SOA Software investors include Redpoint Ventures and DFJ. Prior to SOA Software, Mr. Drake was the Director of Security Strategy for IBM post the acquisition of Access360 where he was an original co-founder and President. He was instrumental in the fundraising, growth, and strategy for Access360 prior to the sale of the company to IBM. Access360 investors included Crosspoint Ventures and Oracle. Mr. Drake is the co-author of the book ‘Security Provisioning, Managing in Extended Enterprises’ and is a frequent contributor to articles and speaking engagements. He has held executive positions at Enterprise Solutions and Quadratron Systems, and has formulated complex strategic alliances with companies such as VeriSign, Oracle, and IBM.
Ms. Berger has held many leadership roles in the technology and business insight fields over the past 30 years. Ms. Berger is a former Vice President with responsibilities for sales, operations and customer support from Sun Microsystems, Apple Computers and Dun and Bradstreet. Most recently, she has been assisting promising technology start ups in strategies to market and partnerships. In joining SecondVoice, she is leading our efforts in sales and marketing. Ms. Berger has served on many boards and in advisor to board positions over the past 15 years.
Greg is a noted technologist and entrepreneur with extensive experience in security, e- commerce and leading-edge software-as-a-service development. He is a serial entrepreneur with several successful company launches under his belt. Kerosene and a Match was voted one of America's Most Promising Companies in 2009 by Forbes. As founder and Chief Architect of Encryptanet, he launched a secure e-commerce, Publishing 2.0 product for online content. Prior to these, he served as Chief Technology Officer of Endeavors Technologies, a developer of peer-to-peer mobile applications. Greg led research projects for DARPA at the University of California, Irvine (UCI), and earned wide recognition for his achievements in Web technologies. He holds a Ph.D. in Information and Computer Science from UCI, and a Master’s in Computer Science from University of Southern California.

The Board is comprised of seasoned industry luminaries and professionals with a solid range of industry, financial and business expertise, closely aligned to our vision and mission. We have completed our Seed and Series A Funding and are pleased to have Okapi Venture Capital as our lead investor.
Mr. Averitt is a Co-Founder and Managing Director of Okapi Venture Capital and is responsible for Okapi Ventures' information technology and digital media investments. He has held leadership positions of increasing responsibility in business development, legal, operations, corporate development, and strategy in the technology industry for more than a decade. Prior to founding Okapi, Marc was with Intel Corporation first as an attorney for the Microprocessor Products Group and then as the Director of Strategic Business Development for the Software & Solutions Group worldwide. Prior to Intel, Marc worked for Sun Microsystems in business development and legal roles. Marc received his bachelors from the University of Southern California where he majored in both Philosophy and Business Administration, and went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law. Marc has also attended the Stanford University Graduate School of Business Executive Education program. He has traveled extensively throughout the world and has done deals in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, England, Germany, Israel, Japan, Russia, Sweden, and Uzbekistan in addition to the U.S. Marc's present professional board affiliations include My Damn Channel (Director), RF Nano Corporation (Director), Transaction Wireless (Director), Orange County Venture Group (Director; 2008 President), and DATAllegro (Advisor). He is a frequent panelist and speaker for venture capital, M&A, technology commercialization, emerging markets and corporate development. Mr. Hawk is president of Hawk Communications whose mission is to help develop high technology companies. In 1997 he retired as President and CEO of U S West Multimedia Communications, Inc. where he was responsible for the Media 1 cable business and the Time Warner partnership. From 1986 until 1995, Mr. Hawk was president of the Carrier Division of U S west Communications, Inc. Prior to that Mr. Hawk was Vice President, Marketing and Strategic Planning for CXC Corporation, a high technology start up and before that was Director, Advanced Systems Development for American Bell. During 1997-2002 Mr. Hawk served as a Special Limited Partner of Crosspoint Venture Partners. During that time he served on the boards or advisory boards of sixteen companies that went public. Mr. Hawk currently is a special limited partner of DCM, a leading venture capital company in silicon valley. He is on the board of Neutral Tandem {Nasdaq} and several private high technology companies. During the past fifteen years Mr. hawk has worked with the ceo's and officers of nearly one hundred high tech companies as a board member, advisor and investor.
Mr. Lin is a serial entrepreneur with a lens on solving problems through technology. When he was at USC, he started Net Dimension, a web design company with his college friends when the Internet was still in its infancy building rapid deployment tools. He followed up with BrainTag, Inc., which was a popular free application that automatically rated a website's privacy policy, before TRUSTe was de facto. In building out Schedulematic, Inc. he helped reduce "no shows" at doctor's offices with a self-serve SMS scheduling system, which was sold to private investors. With SecondVoice, he is leading the service delivery platform design and development as we take this exciting offering to the marketplace.
Mr. Nikkhoo is a 26 year veteran in the technology field and is currently Managing Director at Siemer & Associates. Prior to Siemer, Ivan was the Head of the Technology Practice at Barrington Associates, a division of Well Fargo Securities, focusing on advising emerging technology companies. Prior to WFS/Barrington, he was Managing Director for N3 Technology Fund, a long/short hedge fund co-managed with Dalton Investments. As the General Manager & Executive VP at SOA Software he was responsible for mergers, acquisitions, investments, strategic alliances, and joint ventures. Prior to SOA Software he was President of Vertex Systems and prior to Vertex, the Director of European Operations for TLD Systems in Paris, France, providing software for European space and military projects. Ivan is a member of Young Presidents' Organization and is very active in the tech community. He was a finalist at the E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year Award and serves on the boards of a number of charity and business organizations including the LA Chamber of Commerce, USC Marshall Partners, Junior Achievement of Southern California, and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is a frequent guest lecturer at the USC Marshall School of Business and has been featured in numerous publications including Fortune Magazine, Los Angeles Times, and the Los Angeles Business Journal. Mr. Nikkhoo is also a partner at a venture fund focused on investing in emerging technology companies, and serves on the boards of several technology companies. Mr. Nikkhoo is also a partner at a venture fund focused on investing in emerging technology companies, and serves on the boards of several technology companies.

Mr.Pikover has held various executive, founder, and CEO-level positions at a number of private and public technology companies and has guided numerous private companies through financing, public offerings, and acquisitions. Mr. Pikover is currently a private investor and board member of 6 companies.
Previously Mr. Pikover was Chairman of 5square as well as Chairman and CEO of Access360. In 1993, he was co-founder and EVP of Xylan Corporation (XYLN), which was one of the fastest-growing technology companies in history and was responsible for the sale of Xylan to Alcatel in 1999 for $2 billion. Mr. Pikover has served as a board member of 20 companies.
Mr. Pikover was named Entrepreneur of the Year by the San Fernando Business Journal in 2005, and is a co-author of “Security Provisioning: Managing Access in Extended Enterprises”.
John Suh is a serial Internet entrepreneur with deep experience across the B2B and B2C space. He is CEO of LegalZoom, which has quickly become the first place small businesses and families turn to for common legal needs. With over a million customers, LegalZoom has become one of the most recognized brands in the legal industry. John previously served as CEO of StudioDirect, the Internet division of publicly traded global supply chain leader, Li and Fung. He also served as co-founder/CEO of Castling Group, helping offline companies create their Internet divisions, launching category leaders such as jcrew.com and hifi.com. John received his B.A. in Organizational Behavior and Public Policy from Harvard College, and received his MBA as a Baker Scholar at Harvard Business School.
Mr. Zander has spent more than 35 years in the technology sector having played a key role in shaping some of the major paradigm shifts in technology that impact the world today. These include the move from mainframes to minicomputers; minicomputers to workstations; PCs to networking and to the Internet; hardware to software; and the revolution in wireless devices and mobility.
Mr. Zander led Motorola from January 2004 through December 2008 as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to Motorola, Ed was president and chief operating officer of Sun Microsystems until 2002. During his 15 years at the company, he grew Sun to $18 billion in revenues; established the company as number one in the server market; and built it into the pre-eminent supplier of network software infrastructure with Solaris and Java. In addition, Ed was responsible for developing the “dot in dot com” campaign establishing Sun as a leader in Internet computing. Before Sun, Ed worked at Apollo Computer as vice president of marketing and at Data General in a number of marketing and engineering positions.
Today he is a director of Netezza Corp., serves as chairman of the Technology CEO Council in Washington D.C.. and serves on the board of directors of several educational and nonprofit organizations, including the Jason Foundation for Education, the science advisory board of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and the advisory board of the School of Management of Boston University. Mr. Zander received a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Business Administration from Boston University.
